Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections
Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine focuses on harnessing the body’s natural healing processes to repair damaged tissues and reduce pain. One of the most effective regenerative therapies is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, a cutting-edge treatment that uses your blood’s healing components to accelerate recovery.
PRP injections involve drawing a small amount of your blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and injecting it into the injured or painful area. Platelets contain growth factors that stimulate tissue repair and promote healing.
PRP therapy can help with:
Joint Pain: Effective for osteoarthritis, hip, knee, and shoulder pain.
Tendon and Ligament Injuries: Helps treat conditions like tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis, and rotator cuff injuries.
Muscle Injuries: Supports recovery from sports-related muscle strains or tears.
Chronic Pain: Reduces pain in areas that haven’t responded to other treatments.
Disc Disease: helps the body to repair damaged discs and annulus.
PRP injections are minimally invasive and carry a low risk of side effects since they use your body’s healing cells. This therapy is ideal for those looking to heal naturally, avoid surgery, or enhance the results of other treatments. You can experience faster recovery, improved function, and lasting pain relief with regenerative medicine.
Instructions for Your PRP Procedure:
1. Avoid Blood Thinners:
• For at least two weeks before your procedure, avoid taking blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), and other non-steroidal anti- nflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) unless prescribed by your
doctor.

• Drink plenty of water in the days before your appointment. Staying well-hydrated helps ensure a good blood draw and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the PRP treatment.

• Limit or avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your procedure, as they can affect your hydration and overall comfort.

• Ensure that the area where the blood will be drawn, and the treatment area is clean. If possible, shower and avoid applying lotions or creams on the day of the procedure.
