Dr. Kim graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, where he earned a degree in economics. He received his M.D. from New Jersey Medical School (Rutgers University) in Newark, NJ. After completing his internship at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the world-renowned Howard H. Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York City.

Dr. Kim went on to complete an ACGME/AMA-accredited pain management fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University Department of PM&R in Richmond, VA. During his fellowship training, Dr. Kim extensively interacted with Veterans suffering from pain at the McGuire VA Hospital.

Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is American Medical Association board-certified in pain medicine. Dr. Kim’s professional interests include fluoroscopic-guided interventional spine and ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve and joint procedures. Dr. Kim performs regenerative medicine with platelet-rich plasma injections and medical acupuncture for appropriate patients. He also has over 23 years of experience diagnosing and treating spinal and other orthopedic disorders as well as complex regional pain syndrome (aka reflex sympathetic dystrophy).
